Transportation

There are two airports in Shanghai, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (上海虹桥国际机场) and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (上海浦东国际机场) . If you are coming from an Asian country, Hongqiao is more convenient.

We will show routes coming to closeby hotels below.

From Hongqiao airport

Take a metro line 10 from Hongqiao T1 or T2 station (虹桥 1号/2号 航站楼) to Jiangwan Stadium station (江湾体育场) or Wujiaochang station (五角场). [About 1 hour, 5 RMB]

It should only take a several minute walk to hotels close to Fudan University.

Hongqiao to Jiangwan Stadium

If you stay at Yanyuan hotel, go out from the Jiangwan Stadium station (line no.10), exit 1, cross the big road in front of it and go straight along Zhengtong rd (政通路) for 400m. The hotel is on the right side. See also a map for other hotels.

From Pudong airport

1.Take a taxi from the official stand at the ground floor of the airport by following appropriate signs. [About 50 mins, 170-210 RMB]

* There are lots of scam taxi drivers at the airport, so please just ignore people trying to talk to you at the airport.
** Taxis do not accept credit cards so please bring some cash in Chinese Yuan.

Once you take a taxi, please show the address of your chosen hotel to the driver since most likely he/she cannot understand addresses written in English. If the driver does not understand the address, you can show the university address instead.
复旦大学,杨浦区邯郸路220号 (近国定路)

2. Take Maglev Speed Train to Long Yang Road Station (50 RMB), then take taxi (about 60 RMB). [About 60 mins]

3. Take Subway Line 2 East Extension Line to Guanglan Road Station, then change Subway Line 2 to Nanjing East Road Station, and then change Subway line 10 to Jiangwan Stadium Station. (About 120 mins, 20 RMB)

Once you arrive at the university, most Chinese students at the university can speak English to some extent.
